Robert Scott Michelmore, 41, of New Port Richey, was arrested Monday, according to Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office online booking records.

Michelmore was arrested by the Clearwater Police Department and then booked into the Pinellas County Jail on the murder charge, which allegedly occurred in nearby Pasco County, the Tampa Bay Times reported.

On Dec. 15, Michelmore was indicted on a charge of “death caused by the unlawful distribution of fentanyl,” according to Pasco County online court records. A warrant for his arrest was issued the same day, online records show.

According to the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office, the charge against Michelmore is connected to his role as a drug dealer that involved a fatal overdose, the Times reported.

Authorities did not name the victim or any information about them, according to the newspaper.

According to the Florida Department of Corrections online prisoner database, Michelmore is currently on probation after his arrest on March 10 for misdemeanor charges of petit theft and trespassing. His probation was scheduled to end on Oct. 9, 2023, online records show.
