In the edited bodycamera video you can see the deputy engage with suspect Elisha Payne Clark before the deputy tries to grab Clark, and Clark drives off, dragging the deputy several feet.
The deputy lets go before he almost gets clipped by another car.
Deputies said Clark has a record of drug arrests, and was acting suspiciously when they saw him at a gas station.
The Sheriff’s Office said there is a 30-second delay from when a deputy turns on their body camera to when the audio kicks in.
But when it does, in this case, you can hear the deputy radioing in.
The video picks up again as deputies track Clark down and arrest him. He’s handcuffed and put into the back of a patrol car.
“I’m not talking to you. Get out of my face,” he says. “Bro, get out of my face, bro.”
“Enjoy your prison time,” a deputy responds.
Clark is charged with aggravated battery, reckless driving and resisting arrest.
