BEIRUT, Lebanon — Cameras were focused on a bride who was posing for photos when the massive Beirut explosion swept through the city.
The video shows the photographer slowly sweeping around the woman when distant rumbling can be heard followed by a massive blast of air that sweeps her white dress off the ground. The photographer runs for cover and returns to the scene where broken glass and doors are scattered where the bride once stood.
The bride and groom were reportedly unharmed in the blast.
Investigators probing the deadly blast that ripped across Beirut focused Wednesday on possible negligence in the storage of tons of a highly explosive fertilizer in a waterfront warehouse.
The investigation is focusing on how 2,750 tons of ammonium nitrate, a highly explosive chemical used in fertilizers, came to be stored at the facility for six years and why nothing was done about it.
