‘Dragon Ball Z,’ ‘Ninja Turtles’ voice actor Kirby Morrow dead at 47

Actor Kirby Morrow, a voice-acting star of television and anime, died Wednesday, his family said. He was 47.

Morrow’s brother, Casey Morrow, reportedly confirmed the Canadian actor’s death on social media, adding that the family had no further details.

Kirby Morrow is best known for his roles as Goku in “Dragon Ball Z,” Miroku in “Inuyasha,” and Cyclops in “X-Men Evolution.” Morrow also starred in the television series “Stargate Atlantis.”

Morrow’s friend Jerry Cates, also confirmed Morrow’s death in a Facebook post.

Morrow also was the voice over for Michelangelo in the 1998 live-action series of “Ninja Turtles: The Next Mutation,” and voiced the characters of the Nutcracker/Prince Eric in “Barbie in the Nutcracker.” He also appeared in “Transformers: Cybertron.”

Morrow was born on Aug. 28, 1973, in Jasper, Alberta, and studied acting at the Mount Royal University in Calgary.

He had nearly 200 television credits during his career, according to IMDb.
