Saget was pronounced dead Sunday after first responders were called by officials from The Ritz-Carlton in Orlando, WFTV reported.

The sheriff’s department said Saget unlocked the hotel room door at 2:17 a.m. Sunday and was supposed to check out later that day.

His family had tried to reach him, but when they were unable to do so, they called the hotel to ask the security staff to check on the “Full House” star.

Security officers knocked on his door but didn’t get a response, so they entered and found him unresponsive in bed.

Security said they checked for breathing and a pulse and found neither. He also was, according to the incident report, “cold to the touch, yellow and clammy.”

He was face up, with his left arm across his chest and his right arm on the bed, WFTV reported. There were no signs of trauma or foul play found.

The hotel security staff called 911.

Orange County Fire and Rescue was first on the scene and pronounced Saget dead at 4:18 p.m., WFTV reported.

Hotel management called Saget’s wife, Kelly Rizzo, after consulting the hotel’s legal team, to tell her of his death.

The scene was turned over to homicide investigators as a matter of procedure.

The Orange County medical examiner’s office said they found no evidence of drug use or foul play in Saget’s death, WFTV reported.

Saget’s cause and manner of death “are pending further studies and investigation which may take up to 10-12 weeks,” Chief Medical Examiner Joshua Stephany said in a statement to CNN.

Saget starred as patriarch Danny Tanner on ABC’s “Full House,” which ran from 1987 to 1995, and then again on its spinoff, “Fuller House,” which aired for five seasons on Netflix, CNN reported. He also was the host of “America’s Funniest Home Videos,” also on ABC, from 1990 to 1997.
