American Airlines to ask travelers to submit COVID-19 health questionnaire at check-in

If you’re planning on flying somewhere soon, get ready for an additional step during check-in.

Starting Tuesday, if you fly with American Airlines, you will have to answer a few questions before you even get to security.

You will have to fill out a questionnaire either at a kiosk or on your phone. It covers three areas including whether passengers have experienced COVID-19 symptoms, or been exposed to someone who recently tested positive.

Passengers also need to confirm they will wear a face covering on their flight.

Other airlines are adopting the survey, but each will have its own policy for those who refuse to complete it.

This is the latest change from American Airlines.
