According to the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a shooting at around 9 p.m. Sunday and found two men had been shot, requiring transport to area medical facilities for treatment of their injuries, WPMI reported.

Deputies confirmed that 53-year-old Michael Amacker shot Frank Reeves in the chest and that Reeves shot Amacker multiple times, striking him in the lower leg and elbow, WALA reported.

During the course of the investigation, however, detectives determined that the homeowner’s wife, Tracy Reeves, had been conducting a more than yearlong relationship with Amacker, allowing him to live in the home without her husband’s knowledge, WPMI reported.

According to WALA, Amacker is facing attempted murder, possession of a controlled substance and weapons charges.
