Update 12:50 a.m. EDT June 13: The Savannah Police Department identified the deceased victim as Arthur Milton, 20, WSAV reported.

Police Chief Roy Minter said a shooting occurred on the same street Tuesday night.

“Two days later we end up with a mass shooting at the same location,” Minter told reporters. “It’s very disturbing especially when you see incidents like this that occur in the number of victims who are injured and especially when you’re talking about an infant child.

Police said 60 bullet casings were recovered from the scene, WSAV reported.

Original report: Savannah police responded to reports of shots fired around 9 p.m. near the 200 block of Avery Avenue and Oglethorpe Street about three blocks from police headquarters near downtown, WJCL reported.

Officers found multiple victims including one person who was pronounced dead at the scene and two children ages 13 and 2 who suffered non-life threatening injuries. Two of the victims were taken to a hospital in critical condition. The conditions of the other victims is unclear.

Investigators are unsure what led to the shooting. They also have no leads on possible suspects.

Savannah Mayor Van Johnson is asking witnesses to come forward.
