OLYMPIA, Wash. — Investigators with the Washington State Patrol are investigating a homicide after someone found a body Saturday beside Capitol Lake on Deschutes Parkway in Olympia, officials said.
Officials said State troopers, Olympia police and firefighters responded to an area on 5th Avenue and Marathon Park where they found a person, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
WSP officials said the investigation is in its preliminary stages and there are few details.
Investigators are asking anyone who was in the area of Deschutes Parkway between 9 and 10 p.m. Saturday to email them at sistips@wsp.wa.gov.
