PUYALLUP, Wash. — A Washington State Patrol trooper’s SUV was rammed by a suspect’s truck during a high-speed chase in Puyallup Monday morning.
It started as a traffic stop and ended in a neighborhood near the fairgrounds in Puyallup. The suspect is in custody.
Video from Chopper 7 showed the police SUV on its side with the suspect’s truck rammed against it.
The trooper has minor injuries.
At 12:08 p.m., Puyallup police tweeted that 7th Avenue Southwest was closed between Fourth and Fifth streets.
Traffic Alert: 7 AV SW CLOSED between 4 ST SW and 5 ST SW due to traffic accident from a pursuit involving WSP. Avoid the area.
