Teenager shot and killed in Tacoma identified

TACOMA, Wash. — A 17-year-old boy who was shot in Tacoma and died at the hospital shortly after has been identified.

The victim, Antonio Douglas, was brought to St. Francis Hospital in Federal Way at 11:40 p.m. Tuesday, where he was pronounced dead shortly after.  Hospital staff notified authorities that the victim had a gunshot wound.

Police located the crime scene in the 3600 block of Marine View Drive near the Chinook Landing Marina and began processing it for evidence.

Investigators haven't said what led up to the shooting, but a 17-year-old boy was booked into jail later Wednesday. He could be charged Thursday.
