Woman points gun at motorist in Puyallup road rage incident

A road rage incident in the South Sound sends chills down one mother's spine.

Falicia Pritchett was driving on Highway 512 – near the South Hill Mall on Thursday – when she said another driver cut her off and then pulled out a gun.

The incident began as Pritchett was headed home from work on Highway 512. That's when she noticed a vehicle starting to drift into her lane.

"[Their truck] pushed us off [the road] and I raised my hand,” Pritchett, a Tacoma native, said. “I said, 'What the hell?' "

Pritchett said a female passenger in the other vehicle started yelling at her.

"I said, 'What the hell' again and threw my hand up."

Soon after that, Pritchett said the woman pointed a gun at her.

"Her finger was on the trigger,” said Pritchett. “My co-worker that was in the vehicle with me saw that. The first thing that popped into my head was my kids [and the whole idea of] just getting home to them. [All I could think about is] being able to hug them again."

Pritchett told KIRO 7 that police are looking for two people that were in the vehicle, which is described as a 2014-2017 white Dodge Ram with Washington plates.

"They were of Islander decent,” said Pritchett. “She had a tattoo on her right hand."

As investigators continue working on this case, Pritchett sends a message to motorists.

"If somebody cuts you off maybe just brush it under the rug, because you never know what that person has in their vehicle,” said Pritchett.

“You never realize how precious life is until something like that scary happens to you."

The Washington State Patrol told KIRO it is investigating the incident.

Editor's note: The vehicle was earlier described as a 2014-2017 black Dodge Ram with Washington plates. This has been corrected to describe the vehicle as a 2014-2017 white Dodge Ram.
