Investigators looking into the child pornography case of Victoria Del Carmen said they wanted to hear from parents who may have hired the 18-year-old as a babysitter. Within hours, parents were contacting the Pierce County Sheriff's Department, saying Del Carmen had taken care of their kids.
“We’re going to be trying to get photos of kids she may have babysat just in case, and when we do search warrants and we go through her digital devices, we can match them to any pictures she may have,” said Pierce County Sheriff’s spokesman detective Ed Troyer.

Del Carmen was charged Wednesday with four counts of possession of depictions of a minor engaged in sexually explicit conduct in the first degree. According to charging documents, she admitted downloading and trading child porn online and acting out sexual fantasies with lifelike dolls of infants. Investigators say there could be victims they haven't found yet because Del Carmen advertised for babysitting jobs on the website Care.com.
That concerned Liz Anderson, who had previously used the site to hire sitters.
“If I wasn’t a stay-at-home mom, I could be choosing someone like that for my kids and that terrifies me,” Anderson said. “But now it makes me worried because I used to recommend it to friends and now I’m, like, I don’t know if I can, it scares me.”
KIRO 7 contacted Care.com and received an email statement from a spokesperson stating,
“This incident is deeply upsetting and our hearts go out to any victims and their families. We have reached out to local law enforcement to provide any assistance that we can.”
Investigators said in addition to parents who had hired Del Carmen, they were also contacted by a local day care center where the teenager once worked. So far, there is no evidence linking her to sexual abuse of kids.
“At this point, we haven’t found anything that shows there are victims in our area,” Troyer said.
