Police: Sketch released of man who tried to lure teen in Bonney Lake

BONNEY LAKE, Wash. — The Bonney Lake Police Department has released a sketch of a man who attempted to lure a teen girl last week.

According to police, a 14-year-old girl told police she was on her way to a bus stop in the 11000 block of Angeline Road East at about 6:30 a.m. on June 13 when a van passed her and turned around.

The teen then started walking faster towards a friend's house, and when she reached the corner of 110th street and Angeline Road East, the van pulled up right next to her.

Police said the driver had the window rolled down and looked at the teen and said, “I’m going to get you.”

The man is described as white, in his 40s or 50s, with green or blue eyes and a heavy build, light facial hair and a very pale complexion. He was wearing a gray, hooded-style sweatshirt.

The man’s van is described as deep red with possibly tinted windows and is in decent condition.

Anyone can identify the man is urged to contact Bonney Lake Police Department Investigations at 253-863-2218.
