SEATTLE — Seattle police arrested a registered sex offender after he groped a woman in the Capitol Hill neighborhood Thursday night.
According to police, a woman was waiting at a bus stop on Broadway and East Union Street at about 9:15 p.m. when she saw a man walking past her.
Police said the man approached the woman from behind and groped her. The woman screamed which bystanders noticed and yelled at the suspect.
The suspect fled northbound on Broadway and several witnesses chased him.
According to police, witnesses caught up with the suspect and pinned him to the ground. Police took him into custody.
Police booked the 29-year-old man into the King County Jail for investigation of indecent liberties.
