Police look for man involveid n murder of South Hill man

Pierce County Prosecutor Mark Lindquist said 34-year-old Michael Clifford Boisselle is accused of fatally shooting Brandon Shane Zomalt last month.
Authorities are looking for a man who has been charged in the fatal shooting of a 30-year-old man in a South Hill home.
Pierce County Prosecutor Mark Lindquist said 34-year-old Michael Clifford Boisselle is accused of fatally shooting Brandon Shane Zomalt last month.
Boisselle was charged Friday with first-degree murder and a warrant is out for his arrest.
On Aug. 13, an off-duty federal agent saw a fire on the side of Peasley Canyon Road in Auburn. When the agent put out the fire, he discovered it was fueled bloodied carpet, clothing and towels.  A man was seen standing the fire and fled in his dark SUV when he saw the agent.
Blood samples were taken from the scene and DNA analysis identified the blood as belonging to Zomalt.
Police said friends and family had not seen or heard from Zomalt for weeks.
On Sept. 1, Pierce County deputies performed a welfare check at a South Hill home and discovered a severely decomposed body. The body was of Zomalt.
Flooring missing from the home matched the burning flooring from the Auburn scene.
Investigators said the home was rented by Boisselle and Zomalt was temporarily staying.
Authorities told witnesses that he shot Zomalt because he was frustrated with him and didn’t want him to stay at the home any longer. Boisselle also told his mother he needed to get out of the area immediately and she would not hear from him again.
"The suspect is still at large and anyone with information should contact the Sheriff's Department," said Lindquist.
The Medical Examiner's Office determined that Zomalt died from multiple gunshot wounds to the torso and head.
Anyone who sees Boisselle is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
