Snohomish County buildings, Everett fire station hit by gunfire

One of the Everett Fire Department's trucks needs repairs after a bullet pierced through a fire station garage door and hit the vehicle inside on Sunday morning.
Station 6 firefighters were on a call when it happened. The bullet left a small hole in the garage on Evergreen Parkway, which crews did not see until they spotted the shell casing.
The Everett Police Department is investigating and said multiple, similar reports were made in Snohomish County on Sunday.
Lynnwood police received two reports of gunfire in separate areas of Highway 99 early Sunday. Officers said they found shell casings near 188th Street. Not long after that incident, reports of shots fired were made about three miles away in the area of 148th Street.
"It possibly leads us to believe that they might be connected," said Officer Aaron Snell with the Everett Police Department.
In addition to the fire station, gunfire was reported near the 10100 block of Holly Drive in Everett.
Snell said detectives with the Everett Police Department are working with several agencies to investigate the series of similar incidents.
"It's very concerning. I know both the mayor and the police chief are very concerned about this," Snell said.
