Man killed in crash north of Burlington

BURLINGTON, Wash. — A man was killed in a two-car crash 14-miles north of Burlington overnight.

The crash happened around 12:45 a.m. Monday on Alger Cain Lake Road at Silver Creek Drive.

One driver who was involved in the wreck, a 31-year-old Maple Falls man, was taken into custody for suspicion of DUI.

The Washington State Patrol said the 31-year-old man was driving a Ford Econoline van northbound when he crossed the center line and hit a southbound car head-on.

The driver of the car, a 62-year-old man, was killed.
