SNOHOMISH COUNTY — Deputies with the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Department are investigating a fatal stabbing.
According to deputies, a 45-year-old Lake Stevens man suffered a stab wound to his neck at a Motel 6 located at 224 128th Street SW early Friday morning.
Deputies arrived around 2 a.m. and said the man died at the scene.
During their investigation, deputies said witnesses identified two suspects and their vehicle that was seen fleeing the scene.
"At 3 a.m., deputies located the suspect vehicle southbound on I-5 and made a traffic stop near 164th Street and Ash Way in Lynnwood," deputies wrote in a news release.
Witnesses identified the driver and passenger in the vehicle, deputies said.
The suspects, a 26-year-old Lynnwood man and a 22-year-old Everett man, were interviewed by detectives and were later booked into the Snohomish County Jail on investigation of murder, according to deputies.
