Man taken into custody after woman fatally shot in Shoreline

SHORELINE, Wash. — Deputies are investigating after a 28-year-old woman was fatally shot in Shoreline early Friday.

Deputies responded to a report of a shooting in the 500 block of Northwest 175th Court at about 1:15 a.m.

According to investigators, when deputies arrived, they found the woman dead at the scene with a gunshot wound.

Deputies said a 32-year-old man left the scene but was quickly located and taken into custody.

Investigators said the woman and the man knew each other.

The man was booked into the King County Jail on suspicion of murder.
