RENTON, Wash. — The Washington State Patrol said it’s searching for a suspect who stole one of their patrol cars and crashed it on Monster Road in Renton following a pursuit early Monday morning.
WSP said a trooper stopped a car around 2:30 a.m. that initially pulled over then peeled off.
The trooper pursued the car that took the NB I-5 exit to SR 516, according to WSP spokesperson Trooper Rick Johnson, who said the suspects rolled and crashed on the ramp.
Johnson said the trooper arrested one of four suspects who were in the crashed car. When the trooper went to place the suspect in the back of the cruiser, it was gone.
