WSDOT helps find young owner of stuffed dinosaur that was found along I-90

SNOQUALMIE PASS, Wash. — The Washington State Department of Transportation took to Twitter Tuesday morning in the hope that they could reunite a child with their stuffed dinosaur.

In a tweet from its main account, WSDOT said someone reached out to them saying they found the toy on the side of eastbound Interstate 90 just past Snoqualmie Pass on Friday as Memorial Day weekend travel was underway.

Though it may have seemed like a longshot, WSDOT’s other Twitter accounts joined in to spread the word.

“Let’s help this little dino find its family!” @WSDOT_East tweeted. The account covers travel information east of the Cascades.

@WSDOT_Tacoma, @WSDOT_SW and @WSDOT_North also jumped in with retweets to help.

And it worked!

The mother of a little boy named Kameron posted on Facebook that he lost his beloved dinosaur over Memorial Day weekend as his family crossed I-90.

WSDOT said on Twitter that a reunion is in the works.
