In a post to X.com Thursday morning, the Seattle Police Department announced it was investigating a stabbing on the 2200 Block of 1st Avenue.
A spokesperson for the Seattle Fire Department told KIRO the victim was a 48-year-old woman.
She was transported to Harbor View Medical Center and, according to the fire department, was in stable condition.
Police are asking the public to avoid the area.
