The Renton Police Department is investigating an “assault with sexual motivation” after a woman was attacked Saturday morning in Fort Dent Park in Renton, near the Starfire Sports complex.
Maps of the area indicate that the woman may have been near the Springbrooke Trail. The department says she was near the 1900 block of Oakesdale Avenue SW when she was attacked.
According to the department, the woman was taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police know little about the suspect and, according to the department, are actively canvassing the area.
