SEATTLE, Wash. — Seattle police arrested a woman yesterday, Aug. 23, after a boy was found dead.

According to SPD, officers were sent to the 2200 block of Grand Street around 12:30 p.m. to investigate reports of an unresponsive child.

Upon arriving at the scene, officers located the boy. Seattle Fire Department medics immediately began to try and save his life, but he passed away.

Police then arrested a woman for domestic violence manslaughter.

As drugs were found in the area, police noted that they could have played a role in the boy’s death.

Detectives are still investigating this case, and the medical examiner has yet to determine the cause of the boy’s death.

This is a developing story. Check back for more updates.
