SEATTLE, Wash. — A heavy line of showers moves in from the Coast overnight tonight, and nearly all of the I-5 Corridor will start Sunday morning with showers. Some areas should expect to deal with heavy rain at certain periods throughout the day.
We expect lows to be in the low to mid 40s in the lowlands, with temperatures warming up to the mid 50s.
Unfortunately, our second summer in October will officially come to a close with this round of systems.
While we’re currently sitting at the driest October on record, by the end of Sunday, that will not be the case.
Cloudy and scattered showers will hang out on Monday. A calm start to Tuesday will make another round of moisture likely Tuesday night into Wednesday, but timing and who will see the most moisture will come in the next few model projections.
Temperatures will drop to more seasonal or below normal going forward.
Any moisture this week will finally bring some snow to the tops of the highest peaks. Snow levels drop to around 4,000 feet by Wednesday, and 3,000 feet on Friday. That being said, any chance of showers to partner this is too far out to track.
