Temperatures are a few degrees cooler today, with a steady feed of rain showers spinning inland. The large Low pressure off the coast will continue to send in rounds of rain showers with varying intensity through the day and night for Thursday. A drier break has been modeled over central Puget Sound from Bremerton to Seattle and Factoria this afternoon. It may only last an hour and a half around 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Mountain snow showers will come and go with very little to no accumulation.
The Low offshore will sink southward by just a few miles, which could lead to a drier beginning to Friday. That’s a short-lived break too because more waves of rain showers are scheduled to roll through and increase Friday afternoon and evening.
Halloween Weekend
Our Halloween Treat may be a dry Trick or Treat time around the inland cities! Because of the placement of low pressure, most of the showers will be over the Kitsap and Olympic Peninsula for the day. A chance of a shower will hover like a bat overhead, but for the most part, we will be on the drier side through the I-5 corridor.
The lazy Low sending in the showers will track back into British Columbia by Sunday. This spells out a dry beginning to the month of November.
