SEATTLE — A water rescue for a man swimming in Lake Washington near Seward Park on Saturday evening has turned into a recovery mission after he did not resurface.
First responders and rescue swimmers were called near the shore of the 5000 block of Lake Washington Boulevard.
According to Seattle firefighters, four divers and two swimmers were in the water looking for the man. But after an hour of searching, the man could not be found.
A rescue swimmer who was helping in the search was taken to the Harborview Medical Center for exhaustion.
The Seattle Fire Department turned the search over to the Seattle Police Department.
