New statistics show more drivers are skirting the long lines to board a Washington State Ferry.
Washington State Ferries officials say it is almost always accidental -- the driver is often following a GPS that takes them down a side street and bypasses the toll booth -- especially in Edmonds, where numerous streets lead to the dock.
Even if it's accidental though, it is illegal.
On KIRO 7 at 6, we are talking with Washington State Patrol about enforcement and repercussions.
