Vigil held for Seattle woman killed in Texas

Friends of a Seattle woman killed while visiting Texas held a vigil in her memory Friday night.

People brought flowers, balloons and photos to Hamilton Viewpoint Park to remember 23-year-old Marisela Botello-Valadez.

Botello-Valadez went on a weekend trip to Dallas last October and disappeared after leaving a nightclub.

Botello-Valadez’s remains were found a few miles away last week, and three suspects in her disappearance were identified.

Lisa Dykes and Nina Tamar Marano were arrested last week near Miami in connection with Botello-Valadez’s death.

Police are still searching for a third suspect, Charles Beltran, and traced the victim’s phone to a house he shared with Dykes.

All three suspects had left their homes and jobs after Botello-Valadez had been reported missing.
