TACOMA, Wash. — U.S. military veterans and active-duty service members will receive free general admission at Northwest Trek Wildlife Park and Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium from Nov. 11-15 for Veterans’ Appreciation Days, the parks said.
Immediate family members can receive 50% off general admission.
General admission to both facilities during the promotional period includes access to “Trolls: A Field Study,” an outdoor exhibit featuring troll sculptures by artist Thomas Dambo.
Northwest Trek features eight of the troll sculptures, and general admission at the park includes a tram ride. Point Defiance Zoo displays four troll sculptures.
To receive the discount, eligible visitors must purchase tickets in person at the admission windows. The offer is not valid for online ticket purchases.
Visitors must present proof of military service at the admission window. Acceptable documentation includes a military or veteran ID card, discharge papers, or a DD Form 214.
