SEATTLE — Two men were injured in a shooting in Seattle’s Rainier Valley late Wednesday night after an apparent altercation on a Metro bus.
Seattle police said officers responded around 10 p.m. to reports of a shooting near Rainier Avenue South and South Holden Street.
Officers found a 26-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his wrist and a 33-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his leg. Officers provided aid until Seattle Fire Department crews arrived.
Both men were taken to Harborview Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. Seattle Fire said both were in stable condition.
Investigators believe an altercation between the two victims and one suspect began on the Metro coach bus and continued after they got off. Police said the suspect then shot both men and ran off.
Officers searched the area with help from a K9 unit but did not find the suspect.
Detectives with the Seattle Police Department’s Gun Violence Reduction Unit are investigating what led up to the shooting.
