Olympia, WA. - A 20-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy were killed late Friday night following a shootout in an Olympia parking lot.
The shooting occurred off Harrison Avenue Northwest, near Westside Lanes. According to police, an argument broke out between the two victims in the parking lot before gunfire erupted.
Officers responding to the scene located the 20-year-old man dead in the parking lot alongside multiple shell casings. A witness transported the 17-year-old boy to a nearby hospital, where he died from his injuries. Investigators remained at the scene into Saturday morning to collect evidence.
Police seized one handgun and two vehicles believed to be connected to the victims. The cause of the argument between the man and the teenager is unknown. Following the incident, community members placed flowers across the street from the bowling alley.
Police are in the process of obtaining a search warrant for a third vehicle found at the scene to check for additional weapons inside.
