SEATTLE — A Seattle restaurant joined the fight to end hunger Thursday night by feeding hundreds of homeless people.
Tutta Bella partnered with the non-profit organization Operation Nightwatch for the event.
Workers with Tutta Bella are served up fresh pizzas to about 200 homeless people in Seattle's International District.
The restaurant's founder told KIRO 7 he hopes to encourage other businesses to join the effort to end homelessness and hunger in the city.
“If all of us did just a little bit we would put a huge dent in this problem and probably solve it,” said founder Joe Fugere.
Operation Nighwatch provides food and shelter nightly to 130 adults.
