SEATTLE — Tutta Bella Neapolitan Pizzeria is closing two of its Seattle restaurants—including its flagship location.
The chain made the announcement on social media Wednesday.
The Columbia City and Downtown Seattle restaurants, including Lobby Bar, will close on October 2nd.
“We are deeply grateful to everyone who has supported both locations – most of all our employees, who have taken care of our guests, and of each other. Those of you who have celebrated birthdays and anniversaries and first dates and family dinners know how special our team is, and what they have brought to our communities.
To our employees, we simply want to say - thank you.
Thank you for representing Tutta Bella.
Thank you for taking care of our guests.
Thank you for taking care of each other.
And thank you for everything you have contributed to something that has meant so much to so many of us,” the owners shared in their announcement.
The Tutta Bella kiosk restaurants inside the QFC stores in University Village and Kirkland Urban were also recently closed.
Tutta Bella got its start in 2004 in the Columbia City neighborhood of Seattle when Joe Fugere returned home from an extended visit to Naples. He wanted to introduce true Neapolitan pizza to the area.
“We considered many options before deciding it was time to say goodbye to them,” the owners shared.
Tutta Bella pizzas, salads, and pasta entrees remain available at local grocery and club stores, and at Lumen Field.
The owners said the Wallingford, Bellevue, and Issaquah restaurants will remain open.
