ADAMS COUNTY, Wash. — A semi-truck driver from Warden was injured and airlifted following a collision with a train in Adams County on Tuesday, said the Adams County Sheriff’s Office (ACSO).

The ACSO says preliminary findings indicate the semi-truck was traveling above the speed limit and failed to obey posted yield signs at the railroad crossing.

Investigators gathered surveillance footage from nearby businesses.

They say the train was traveling at a slow speed when the collision occurred.

Following the crash, Life Flight transported the semi-truck driver for treatment, though the exact extent of the driver’s injuries has not been released, they said.

The ACSO said investigators have not identified suspected criminal conduct in connection with the incident and no criminal charges are pending at this time.
