SEATTLE — King County health officials have issued a “stay out of the water” alert for Green Lake after recent tests found toxic algae.
The alert recommends that people and pets should not swim or drink from the lake, or engage in any activities that make contact with the water.
Washington State Toxic Algae Monitoring Program says Cyanobacteria, AKA blue-green algae, can produce toxins that are harmful to humans and animals.
