Toddler falls 6 feet out of window onto concrete in Marysville

MARYSVILLE, Wash. — A 2-year-old in Marysville fell out of an open window in Marysville on Tuesday, suffering life-threatening injuries.

The child, who fell approximately 6 feet onto concrete, was flown to Harborview Medical Center.

The Marysville Fire District encourages parents to check windows and install locks or guards that prevent windows from fully opening, as screens may not be strong enough to support the weight of a child.

Parents can also remove furniture away from windows, preventing children from climbing to a window.

If your child does fall out of a window, the Marysville Fire District reminds parents to not move them, as it could make their injuries worse. Parents should call 911 immediately.
