Three earthquakes struck off the coast of British Columbia overnight.
According to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), the first was a magnitude 4.9 that struck just before 8 p.m. PST on Sunday, 195 km WSW of Port McNeill, Canada.
The next was a magnitude 5.4 that struck 231 km WSW of Port McNeill, Canada, at around 9:40 p.m.
A few hours later, just after 2 a.m. Monday, a magnitude 5.2 earthquake struck around 190 km WSW of Port McNeill, Canada.
The U.S. National Tsunami Warning Center issues tsunami alerts and information for the continental U.S. and Canada, and confirmed there was no tsunami threat for Washington state or B.C. after last night’s quakes.
A few hours before the first earthquake near B.C., a magnitude 2.6 earthquake struck near Trout Lake, Washington, at around 5 p.m. Sunday.
