TACOMA, Wash. — The Tacoma Fire Department rushed to put out a house fire early Sunday morning.

The department told KIRO 7 News that some fireworks had been improperly discarded in a nearby garbage can, sparking the fire.

It happened on 24th Street Northeast around 2 a.m.

When crews arrived, flames were shooting from the garage of the home.
