Bellevue-based T-Mobile announced Wednesday that it is laying off 77 employees across eight Washington cities, including remote workers, as six of its locations are expected to close.
The layoffs are expected to begin on Sept. 21 and conclude by Nov. 18, according to a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) filing.

The layoffs include workers in Seattle, Bothell, Vancouver, Kennewick, Tacoma, Yakima, five of its Bellevue headquarters buildings, and two locations in Bellingham.
Six of the 13 locations are expected to close, including:
- 1216 N 45th Street in Seattle
- 1315 W Bakerview Road 106 in Bellingham
- 22309 30th Drive SE in Bothell
- 1220 N Columbia Center Boulevard in Kennewick
- 3802 Pacific Avenue, Suite 103 in Tacoma
- 2550 W Nob Hill Boulevard in Yakima
Monica Frohock, T-Mobile’s Senior Director of the Magenta Service Center, noted that a subset of the layoffs is due to relocation and, in certain cases, impacted employees have been offered an opportunity to relocate.
“While employees are encouraged to pursue open T-Mobile positions, these layoffs are expected to be permanent,” Frohock stated.
The latest round of layoffs includes 63 employees, with the addition of 14 employees who were previously reported to the Employment Security Department as part of another layoff, but the separation dates had been deferred and will now occur during the period covered in the company’s latest layoff notice.
Impacted employees’ job titles include several variations of managers and directors, along with engineers, human resources, and mobile associates, among others.
