Suspected DUI driver arrested after rollover crash with children inside, troopers say

TACOMA, Wash. — A 30-year-old woman suspected of driving under the influence was arrested Saturday evening after crashing on Interstate 5 with her two children inside, troopers said.

The driver collided with a Jersey barrier, causing her vehicle to roll over on southbound I-5 at the Tacoma Dome, authorities said.

An infant and another child were not injured.

Troopers did not say what could have caused the driver to hit the barrier.

However, troopers tweeted out to drivers to “make good choices people.”

The crash remains under investigation.
