SUMNER, Wash. — Sumner police are warning local businesses that an individual is going around placing unwanted stickers on local businesses.
According to the Sumner Police Department on Facebook, the stickers advertise a “24/7 Locksmith,” and they are being placed on businesses without the owner’s explicit permission.
Sumner PD is encouraging business owners to take these stickers off your business.
In addition, the Sumner Police Department asks anyone with cameras on their business who may have a sticker placed on their business to review the video, come forward, and let them know.
They also urge anyone who witnesses someone placing these specific stickers on a business to report them.
Sumner police also do not recommend calling the number on the sticker, and encourage people to double check who they hire, before hiring them.
“As always, we encourage residents to research service providers before hiring them and verify applicable licensing and business information,” the Sumner Police Department wrote on Facebook.
