According to the Washington Department of Transportation, State Route 97 was blocked in both directions in Okanogan County for over three hours after a car rolled over, killing the driver.
According to Washington State Trooper Jeremy Webber, the driver was in the highway’s northbound lane and died in the crash. He told KIRO 7 WSP does not believe anyone else was involved in the incident and there were no additional injuries.
The highway reopened shortly after 7 pm after being closed for over 3 hours.
