According to the Washington State Department of Transportation in a post on X.com, State Route 104 near milepost 11 near South Point Road in Jefferson County will be closed for an “extended period of time”.
The department has directed drivers to plan for extra travel time and take alternative routes to avoid the area.
According to Washington State Trooper Katherine Weatherwax, the road has been closed overnight, and additional fire trucks and helicopters have been called to the area.
