Trains are anticipated to operate at reduced speeds due to excessive heat on the tracks.

In Portland on Sunday, all MAX light rail and streetcar service was suspended until Tuesday morning because of the same issue.

Sound Transit said the reduced speeds will continue over the next several days because of the extreme weather conditions, which may result in delays.

The trains will go back to normal operating speeds when the weather cools off.
