Snoqualmie Pass reopens after multiple crashes, including one fatality

SNOQUALMIE PASS, Wash. — The Washington State Department of Transportation has reopened Snoqualmie Pass after multiple major collisions Friday morning, including one that was fatal.

The closure of both directions of I-90 from North Bend to Ellensburg started at about 5:45 a.m. The westbound lanes reopened at 12:30 p.m. and eastbound lanes reopened just before 7:45 p.m.

WSDOT said there were dozens of crashes in both directions during icy conditions.

One of those crashes in the eastbound lanes involved three semi-trucks and a car.  One person was killed in that crash.
