Snohomish County deputies locate and arrest courthouse escapee

SNOHOMISH COUNTY, Wash. — A 39-year-old who escaped from the Everett courthouse during an appearance in late July has been located and taken into custody.

According to the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office, Kyle Hester left the courthouse around 2:30 p.m. on July 24 when a judge told him he would be taken into custody.

He was seen leaving with a woman. Their relationship is unknown, but deputies were looking to identify her.

He was arrested on Aug. 7 and taken back into custody.
