Federal Way man in Silver Alert found safe

FEDERAL WAY, Wash. — UPDATE: 11:01 a.m. - 88-year-old Otto Bauer was found safe.

A Silver Alert has been issued Thursday for an 88-year-old Federal Way man.

Police said Otto Bauer last spoke to his daughter at 12:15 p.m. Wednesday while he was preparing to go to a doctor’s appointment.

It is not known if Bauer ever made it to this appointment and he did not take his cellphone with him.

Bauer failed to show up for a planned dinner at his daughter’s house. His family said he has had some recent memory loss and it is unlike him to not contact his family.

Bauer is white, 5-feet 9-inches tall, 193 pounds with gray hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing khaki pants and some form of a polo or half-zipper shirt. His car is a red, 2014 Volkswagen Beetle with Washington license plate AQK0192.

Anyone who sees Bauer or his car is asked to call Federal Way police.
