Seattle police: Man shot in Georgetown

SEATTLE — A 42-year-old man was shot in the Georgetown neighborhood of Seattle on Friday morning, according to Seattle police.

At 10:40 a.m. a witness told a City of Seattle employee that a man had been shot near the 500 block of South Michigan Street.

The worker called 911 and officers who arrived on the scene immediately began first aid on the 42-year-old man.

The victim was taken to Harborview Medical Center for further treatment.

Investigators spoke to witnesses who said the victim was in some sort of disturbance with an unidentified man before the shooting.

K-9 searched the area but were unable to locate a suspect.
